The Atlanta Gambian Emergency Relief Association (AGERA) a Gambian association based in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States of America, Monday presented relief items for use by the 2010 flood victims.

The donated items included 33 boxes of clothing and 20 boxes of books and other stationeries. The vice president and minister of Women’s Affairs, Aja Dr Isatou Njie-Saidy, who also doubles as the chairperson of the National Disaster Governing Council, received the items on behalf of the beneficiaries at her office at State House. Presenting the items, Adama Njie, on behalf of AGERA, recalled that the donation was part of a similar one that his association made earlier on in their quest to support the floods 2010 victims. He used the opportunity to express his association’s resolve to partner with the NDMA and government, stressing that it is through partnership that they can collectively make an impact on the country.
